GOA is known for its beaches, nightlife, restaurants, five star hotels and many more. But along with all these things Goa is known for one more specialty and that is GOAN FOOD. These are some must try dishes in Goa.
1. Fish Curry and Rice
This is typical konkani dish which is all time favorite of locals. The curry which usually spicy is served with variety of fish and steamed white rice. This dish is available in almost every hotel in Goa as it is local dish.
2. Ambot Tik
It is another non-vegetarian dish which made from variety of fishes including Catfish or shark. It really tastes good and usually served with roti and Rice. It comes with thick gravy and has unique flavor which comes from special goan masala.
3. Bebinca
This Goa's most famous and tasty SWEET DISH. It is especially prepared during Christ-mus in every house of Goa. It is served in two forms that is hot and cold. The specialty of this dish is that it is prepared using coconut milk and has different layers which makes it unique.
4. Sorpotel
It is made form porks and its a long a process from parboiling, finely diceing, frying and then cooking. Spices are added then cooked with vinegar. Usually it tastes best on 2nd day from the preparation.
It is one more famous sea foods in Goa. It is made with coconut different spices and special Goan masala to which crab meat is added.It is usually served with roti and rice.
6. Chicken Cafreal
This dish is prepared in two ways either cooked in oven or in roasted pan. Its flavored with lime, peppercorns, coriander. If you love chicken then you mus try this dish, you will love it.
