Islands in Goa : Chorao Island, Divar Island, Butterfly and Honeymoon Island, Conco Island, Anjadip Island

Goa is blessed with beautiful islands; there are plenty of islands in Goa and nearby areas. 

Chorao Island

This islands is 5 km away from Panjim and free ferry ride is available from Ribandar village to reach the island. Most of the western  area  of this island is declared as Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Variety of beautiful birds and animals have made this sanctuary their home. There are few crocodiles also. This island has nourished so many Portuguese historical houses and churches. 

Divar Island

This island 7 km away from Panjim and situated across the Mandovi river. Free ferry ride is available from both north and south side. This island is surrounded with beautiful trees, water and and old Portuguese houses which adds more to it. This island also has temples and churches with lovely architecture which makes your visit memorable. Church which is on top of heel is one of the most attractive point and view from top of the island is marvelous.

Butterfly Island and Honeymoon Island

It is located near palolem beach. They offer boat ride for Butterfly and Honeymoon island. These island are almost empty you will find very less people here. It is beautiful and peaceful place in Goa. You will get to see lots of dolphin jumping here and there on.the way to these islands.

Conco (Monkey Island), Agonda, Goa

This island got this name because place where it is situated. It is in Canacona village also known as monkey island because of presence of monkeys on this island. It is just five-ten minutes away from butterfly island. Boats are available from butterfly island to visit this island.

Anjadip Island

It is another island which can be reached with boat from Palolem beach. It is surrounded with lots of greenery, coconut trees, church of our lady spring which is one of the oldest churches built by Portuguese. This is tiny island which has less activities and mostly no people will be there.
